Hi Everyone,
Its been another busy month. In fact, Tim and I are so busy these days, that having a quiet day is now the exception to the rule. However, we will still be doing our best to bring you all the monthly updates on time each month, so don't stress just yet.
I finally went back to work and had such a horrendous shock that I've had to take more leave! LOL Only joking, I had split my leave in order to be able to take another trip this month and still be home in order to house sit for someone else when they go on holiday. The trip this month is a special one too....SFE is going to SINGAPORE!!!!
Yes, that's right, we are taking a couple of weeks to go see the sights and attend a friends wedding. But whilst we are there, we have asked Dave if we can visit the A-Team in their secret Ark-Cave (....kinda like the Batcave only in Singapore ;) ) and we were jumping for joy when he said "Yes".
Now, I know a lot of you will already be booting up your email or PMing us in the forums to pass us questions to ask the team, so feel free to send them on as we are compiling a list. But remember that whilst we are visiting, we won't have heaps of time, nor will we expect to see the inner workings and secrets of the vaunted A-Team.
Anyway, stay tuned next month for a special competition we will be running as part of SFE's 7th birthday and Arkadia's 2nd anniversary. Details will be posted on our monthly newsletter and here at the website. For those that aren't on the mailing list yet, see the links below to sign yourselves up to receive it in future!

Hi Everyone,
The more enlightened of you may have noticed a distinct lack of March in this news feed....Well, there's a very good reason for that....See, there was some sort of ingress in the space time continuum and we kind of skipped over a month somehow....Yes, that's what happened.....Something to do with portals and exotic matter and stuff....;) Lol
In reality though, I finally took a few weeks off and went "home" to the UK for the first time in nearly 20 years. As such, I left the whole kit and kaboodle in poor ol' Tim's lap and with all the work we are currently both doing on other projects IRL (and me effectively out the loop for 5 weeks), the normal monthly review unfortunately had to take a back seat to more important and urgent things.
However, we run such a tight ship normally and have such a streamlined operation behind the scenes, that the only thing that people may have really noticed was a lack of monthly newsletter and that the prices stayed the same for an unusually extended period of time.....and that certainly did work out well for some lucky customers ;)
Now I am back though, we have caught up, done our regular monthly review work, have altered what needs altering and "everything is S.I.G". <----a free set of Musca (L) to the first person to email me and tell me what this means and where it is from!
For those of you that are subscribed to our monthly mail-out, take particular care to read it this month, it will explain a lot on price movements....For those that don't, see the links below to read it here on the website OR sign yourselves up to receive it in future!
P.S - For those interested, I had a lovely holiday, marred only a little by a rather unpleasant incident 3 days from the end. I achieved a couple of long held personal goals and I met some absolutely wonderful people for the first time IRL (Mel BossHart and Brown1e from Normandie Radio and our ex-mod at PAF, Lee Delioncourt) and spent some quality time with some of my extended family.

Yep You read it right, there is no price changes planned for February. Fluctuations were so insignificant in most cases that we haven't bothered to move prices OR the price changes were significant but we can't get materials anyway so it makes no difference!

Hi Everyone,
Well, another year done, another Christmas and New Years celebration over and now its back to work for us all....Well most of us. For some, once again the "Silly Season" lived up to its name and so as a consequence our Operating Theatres did see quite a busy period over the Christmas and New year fortnight and well into the first half of the month. Hence why its the 12th and I'm just getting to this update now 
On a happier note, looks like a few people took my advise and checked out our Ankitus armour in Sanctuary Cove last month. It seems that our pricing was well justified and appreciated in the run up to Christmas as it has sold like hotcakes! If it continues to be this popular then we might very well have to see about importing some over to Caly to add to our Arkadia range at PA Mall.
On the home front, last month saw SFE accomplish a very long term goal in finally getting our name up in lights, so to speak. Its been a very long ranged wish of ours to be interviewed by famous EU Reporter and Picture Storyteller, MindStar9...and in December 2012 we finally got our wish when Her Royal Purpleness did the first "Business Who's Who" interview with us for MindStarMedia.com. If you haven't heard it already then click the link here to listen in now.
Also, don't forget that the "Riptor Rampage" event is still going on Arkadia this month. Might be the ideal time to dust off your gear, score some Global action on those nasty lizards and put yourselves in the running to win some great prizes!
And finally, here's a little extra news for you all:
Next month, I'll be bringing you all the new update from the other side of the world as I finally get to go on a proper holiday myself!
As some of you may know, SFE is based in Perth, Western Australia....and whilst I certainly consider myself a loyal and proud "Sandgroper" (nickname for us West Aussies), I am in fact originally from Cardiff in the UK (yes, that makes me a Taffy  ). Its been 18 years since I last stepped foot in the "motherland" and I thought it high time I popped over for a visit! So, I'm looking forward to catching up with family and friends as well as doing some sightseeing of what's changed in all this time. Especially looking forward to catching up with Mel Bossheart and Brownie from Normandie Radio and seeing Mel on his famous "pints of Vodka and Red Bull" (Yuck!).

Wow, another year almost done, and Christmas is here again.

Ankitus is finally here and already selling well from our Sanctuary Cove Shop #3. Its a nice Christmasy colour too, so why not swing by today and grab a set for that special someone, or even as a nice cheap Christmas treat for yourself! Its a steal at TT-23ped for the whole set! That well below the currect auction MU, which further reinforces our promise to supply based on our cost to craft - if its cheap for us to make, it'll be cheap for you to buy!
Finishing on a positive note, I finally got my revenge on the CEO's monkey, it's now dressed as a fairy and stuck firmly atop my Christmas tree! That'll learn ya ya little ratbag!

The Arkoin Auction for the 2 sets of QR100 Blueprints is finally over. Whilst the bidding was hot and fast on the Koroma set, the Ankitus auction was a little more sedate; surprising really, considering the same people were bidding on both sets.
Congratulations to our good friend (and temporary forum auction adversary) KikkiJikki for finally winning the fight for the Koroma Blueprints (sadly I dropped the ball in the final stages of the auction due to a horrific weekend at work and a desperate need for sleep).
However, all was not lost, as we still managed to win the Ankitus set and will be adding them to our range as soon as we meet up with Cyrus to trade for the 370000 Arkoin winning bid.
Those observant people among you will already see that we have added Ankitus to the Pricelist, though we are yet to state a price for it till we work out the cost to craft.
Initially, Ankitus will only be available from our Sanctuary Cove shop on Arkadia. Calypso customers will have the option of contacting us and requesting a set for delivery to Calypso. Depending on popularity, we may add it to the range available in PA Mall along with Cetus (L) when we gain more item points in the shop.
Looking forward to next month and seeing plenty of Ankitus heading out the door.

Crikey! It's November!!!
Christmas is the big train steaming-rolling down the tracks towards us, so now is the time to be getting that new armour you've been eyeing up...It may not stop you from getting run over by the great Christmas train, but it will sure help keep you safe from all those nasty Christmas mobs ;)
The Arkadian Gold Rush is finally starting to wind down, with only 1 or 2 competitions still to be decided and a couple of Arkoin Forum Auctions still to run out. If you don't know what I'm talking about then head on over to the Planet Arkadia Forum to see what its all about. You might be a bit late for this event, but there's always something going on to interest everyone.
On the Arkoin Forum Auction front, we unfortunately didn't win the bid on the QR100 Koroma Armour Blueprints. Happily however, they were won by a good friend of ours, KikkiJikki and so if you want a set of this cool armour, then we can point you in the right direction. Congratz KikkiJikki, we know you'll put them to good use. The Ankitus BPs are still up for grabs so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to report that we will be adding them to our range. Stay tuned.
Finally, don't forget that the SC shop is open with the FULL range of our current Arkadian IFN armours. Keep your eyes open for this range will be expanding soon with Aquila (L) and hopefully the first of the Arkadian series of armours, Ankitus (UL).
The SFE HQ is still being worked on, with some new striped carpets recently being delivered from our good friend Samuel Sam Robet. Sam runs a weekly Carabok hunting competition for newer players on Arkadia. Check out this link for the latest one running.

Hello October...Yet another busy month and there's no end in sight with Christmas looming on the horizon! Might be time to start thinking about a new armour for Christmas?
You must have been living on an asteroid somewhere out of comms distance if you haven't heard of the Gold Rush happening on Planet Arkadia? If not, head on over to Planet Arkadia Forum to see what its all about and get involved in the forum Arkoin auctions that are still underway at the moment. Theres both real and virtual items up for grabs, including T-shirts, caps, Alienware mice and computers, high-end IFN armour and blueprints!
Got no Arkoins? Well, grab your gear and maybe some mates, make your way to the Aakas Teleporter and get to grips with one of the ten instances found inside the Riptor head!
Last week saw another VU (12.8) with a lot of content arriving for most planets. The new RAW and SIR long range rifles have started to finally drop on Arkadia (we must have reached a milestone in the system as they were placed in the loot pool a number of months ago) and a few have already been found by lucky colonists.
On Sanctuary Cove, something odd is happening... The fearsome Kadra have suddenly changed appearance! IFN Scientists are baffled as to the how and why and are calling on all available colonists for help in bringing in samples for study.
Finally, don't forget that the SC shop is open with the FULL range of our available Arkadian IFN armours. Keep your eyes open for this range will be expanding soon with the first of the Arkadian series of armours. The SFE HQ is still being worked on so stay tuned.

Wow, the last couple of months have been insanely busy. Things have been consistently busy here, not the least of which because of a certain monkey... Things going missing or moving around and turning up where they shouldn't be....it's a wonder I still have a full head of hair.....though its distinctly more grey than it used to be...Hmmmm, maybe time for a holiday?
Well, we are now into September and looking down the barrel towards yet another Christmas season so now might very well be the time to start thinking about buying yourself or that special someone some shiny new armour!
Instances have finally arrived on Arkadia, and with the new patch arriving later today, we should see all of the first 10 levels available for people to explore. Exciting stuff! And, how could we forget the GOLD RUSH?!?! There are 8 ALIENWARE X51 DESKTOP COMPUTERS up for grabs in this new Arkadia event (3 have already been claimed!!!), so fly on over to Arkadia and start getting involved for your chance to walk away with one of these babies!
On the home front, we are continuing to work on the new HQ and showroom at Sanctuary Cove. It's still a slow process (due to RL commitments) but before too long we will have a fantastic display to showcase our range.
Finally, don't forget that the SC shop is open with the FULL range of our available Arkadian armours. You'll notice that a couple of the signs are still blank so if you have any suggestions for them please feel free to send ideas to me via logistics@southernfortress.com.au

Ok, this is getting beyond a joke. First May goes missing and now July seems to have quietly slipped away in the night too...If that monkey's been nicking stuff again.....?
Anyway, we are now into August and well on our way through the first quarter of a new Financial Year (depending on your part of the world). Many things are happening in the real world and if you are keeping up with the latest from NASA, then also on other worlds too (Curiosity on Mars)! Very exciting and interesting times to be alive.
Life isn't slow in the virtual world either and the people on Arkadia are getting excited with the hopeful release of "Instances" coming with this months PP Content Update. Going by this latest post from Cyrus, the Planet Arkadia Community Manager, the A-Team are going great guns and if the comments I've seen so far are anything to go by, the colonists of Arkadia (and the wider Entropia community) can't wait to get to grips with this new edition to the Universe.
Here at SFE, we are continuing our work on the new HQ at Sanctuary Cove. It's a slow process (due to RL commitments) but before too long we hope to have a fantanstic showroom as well as our flagship Arkadian shop there.
Don't forget, the SC shop is open with the FULL range of our available Arkadian armours. You'll notice that a couple of the signs are still blank so if you have any suggestions for them please feel free to send ideas to me via logistics@southernfortress.com.au
